CCD bracing itself for flooding

Thailand has been experiencing severe flooding since August of this year, particularlu in the Northern areas. However, just this week seven districts of Bangkok have been put on flood alert amidst fears that dams and barriers will not hold.

Meanwhile, CCD have had to temporarily close Community Rehabilitation Project 3 which is based up in Manorom Province 200km north of Rainbow House. Staff from CBR3 project are doing home visits and helping out poor families in the community whose houses are flooded.

The photo to the left shows the height of the water in Manorom as local residents work together to move sand bags.Flooding is particularly bad for disabled children because wheelchair users are completely house-bound, and disabled children in poor villages will be worst affect
